I purchased a 9 " pumpkin with posi and 4.11 gears ,when I got the new assy I could not turn the pinion ,it was returned to correct the problem .The pumpkin was sent back and the pinion was turning freely, and it was installed in the car .The construction was continued and finished .Rear end brake in procedure was followed per instructions . The car was driven about 200 miles ,the diff wined on power and coast all the time and failed .The ring and pinion wore out ,backlash was .035 bearings and races were mismatched ,when the diff was disassembled for repair .Contact was made with Speedway and all parts returned (During first contact Speedway was informed the part was purchased over 2 years prior to get spacing on axles and rims for the rear during construction of the car) I was told I was out of luck and did I want the damaged parts returned . I understand that the part was timed out but thought that some consideration would be give ;ie store credit for a part of the $1000.00 spent but none was offered . As a result I am left disappointed and will make every effort not to buy form Speedway again even if I have to pay more .
