I had a situation where a fellow competitor wanted to drive over my front end during a race and there was some carnage, causing bent spindle, rim, control arms, etc... I won the race but the darn rim wore most of the way through my upper balljoint housing and I had to replace it. This replacement worked out just fine, plus it is shiny and everyone knows that shiny parts are faster on the track.
