This lightweight high-torque gear reduction starter clears all headers and oil pans where original equipment starters won't. The PowerMax starter is a great choice for the everyday driver that has stock compression and timing. Starter works with most oversized kickout oil pans. Features 160 ft. lbs. of torque and a 6.0:1 gear reduction ratio. Fits GM LS applications.

Powermaster's warranty is one year from the date of purchase on all street rod components, and 90 days for any component use for an off road or race application.
Powermaster will provide technical support regarding warranty claims and inquiries directly to the purchaser to help resolve any warranty claims or necessary technical support for warranty resolution. Component or components can be returned to Speedway Motors as long as the product is still under warranty.
All customer service inquiries pertaining to warranty and defect claims are to be handled by Speedway Motors if under one year street or 90 days race. If the product is out of warranty please contact Powermaster direct to discuss their repair and return program.

Very nice starter. Best part is that you can reclock it to fit just about any situation. Installed on a mk3 supra swapped with a 5.3l LS. Has custom headers so be able to clock was a bonus. . Size is small so fits tight spots.

Spins my 427 dart pro over great. Big step up from a stock style starter. Screw down lead for the solenoid trigger is a big improvement from the stock starters with a spade plug. Extra shims for starter to engine block, shims for starter to starter block and includes starter bolts.

Great looking unit and sized for tight spaces, but...with the stock LS 1 plastic dirt shield in place the inner (closest to the engine block) bolt goes right in while the outer bolt will not line up to fasten. If the dirt shield is removed it will bolt up. Called Powermaster and they said would bolt up on LT but he had seen where it has an issue with the LS. But it's for an LS so why not manufacture to fit ! I will be making my own thin aluminum dust cover with the plastic stock piece modified to mount with this starter.
