Prothane 916-34045 Details

Reduce wheel hop and axle wrap while improving the cornering capabilities of your 1964-1981 GM A-Body or 1978-1988 GM G-Body. Set includes bushings for upper and lower rear control arms.

  • Full-Floating, Non-Binding Design
    • Important when ride height is altered or greater suspension load is required
    • Especially important for both lowered and raised vehicles that have had drastic suspension geometry modifications
  • Superior Performance Over Time
    • Performance polyurethane control arm bushings do not rot or deteriorate from oils or atmospheric conditions such as ozone, smog, road salt, chemicals, and other corrosives
    • Will not deteriorate in a few short years and cause that mushy, uncertain response like rubber O.E.M. ones often do
  • Maintains Proper Pinion Angle
    • Weak rear control arm bushings will flex during launch and damage can occur to the U-joints
    • Polyurethane will flex, but it holds the rear drivetrain system in proper alignment

See Application tab to ensure these bushings fit your chassis.

will this fit a 1984 Chevy Caprice? Do you have to use your existing metal shells

Do these come with the metal shell as stock ones do? The picture in the catalog looks like these come minus the metal shell. But I'm just going by the picture. Would that mean that I would have to use the metal shell that is already in the rear control arms? Also, can these be used with 1/2 inch bolts? These would be going on a stock car but would still like to know about the metal shells. Thanks.
