The bracket was acceptable for its inten

Fit to the engine block was good. Drilled and tapped holes were well done. Overall fit and finish was quite good. If you intend to use the wide belt set up such as on some trucks then be prepared for some hand or machine work on the alternator threaded mount pad and reducing the length of the spacer tube in order to move the alternator rearward for belt alignment. The rear of the bracket that contacts the engine block could be milled down to move bracket back.

Works... Sorta.

I had a similar bracket on my 1949 Fordor with the wide belts and it worked great. But this one on my 1950 with the narrow belts has issues. Using a standard gm one wire alternator, this bracket puts the alternator belt up against the fan pulley. I had to take half an inch off the alternator ear and the spacer to make it clear and it is still close. Now the alternator sits so far back it won't clear the front carb on my edelbrock 3 deuce intake. Wide belt cars should be fine, narrow belts beware.

This bracket worked well, on an old Fenton duel carb intake. Had to make minor adjustments to align belts. I would definitely buy it again.

Easy mounting to flathead with fan assembly. The 1 wire alternator set up is so easy to set up and less maintenance using this bracket.

'52 Ford Alternator bracket..fits but the tapped holes are not OE specs and had to take the bracket to store to find bolts to fit..also a longer fan belt is needed as the bracket with alternator is taller than the original generator and bracket..waiting on the belt to see if it's gonna work correctly

Will this bracket work with a Ford G1 alternator? I would like to use the Ford alternator along with a voltage regulator as i think it may work better with the Speedway wiring harness (PN 910-64017)i recently bought. Installing on a 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe fordor.

I purchased this alternator bracket and it fits the engine/fan bracket fine, but I purchased a GM 1-wire alternator(65 amp)and the casing on the alternator hits the prongs on the alternator bracket. Is this bracket designed for a specific alternator?
