I'm very happy with my purchase. The heads look great & they will not only look good but will perform great. Did a lot of researchon them before buying. Have not install yet seeing I'm still collecting parts from my build.

These look great and even more so after painting. The threaded holes for the thermostat housings are too close together. I had to enlarge the holes slightly on the housing so they would fit. I also used studs instead of bolts to make it easier to hold the gasket in place and to prevent cross threading which is easy to do with the threaded holes too close together.

Hi What is the dome height in the head to accomodate the dome on the piston. I need to double check but the piston dome on my engine is about 6mm or 0.236". Will these heads accomadate this. What is the minimum clearance between the top of piston and head which is acceptable. Mark

In response to Ed's question, John stated "The main thing to avoid fouling the plugs is to use the correct reach. Offy recommends CHAMPION SPK PLUG:39-53FHF." I cannot find this spark plug, and Champion has no listing for Flatheads anymore, can you double check this or provide a link, or even better: provide an Autolite or NGK equivalent? What is the correct length? I tried 1/2 reach and even that seems too short. Thanks in advance.
