It's praised for enabling the use of old hoses with newer pumps which saved customers costs and time. Many reviews highlighted the excellent material quality, the absence of leaks after installation, and ease of use. Saved me hundreds

I was able to use a 1987 Monti Carlo steering box thanks to this product. The factory power steering hoses from my 76 cutlass supreme connected using these parts with out any custom fabrication. I saved $400 not having to use a quick turn steering box thanks to these inexpensive parts and produce the exact same results. Thank you for making a high quality parts for a very low coast.

leaks on my application

Adapter doesn't fit snug in PS pump 91032908. Slope of adapter does not match slope of "Power Steering Hose Kit for 1982-88 T-Bird Steering Rack to GM Pump". need to find a Plan B.

I installed power steering on my 78 Cutlass last year and it has been very twitchy. This flow restrictor has helped that condition.

This adapter is exactly what I needed to get an old flare line to work with a newer nipple flare. I added an o-ring with it just in case when I installed. No leaks and seems to be working great!

Yes, I would buy this again.

This is a neat item that allows you to use an inverted flare hose end instead of an O-ring type.

Does this fitting go into a o ring syle steering box and convert to a flare style steering box ... the first sentence in the description seems backwards .. and the flare would be the wrong type for adpter from flare box to oring box cause " the flare" in box is inverted, this part is standard flare so the same type flares would be pushed against each other

Will this adapt a Chevy Chevette (~1985) power rack & pinion to a stock Chevy Nova (1963) power steering pump hose ?

Will this work in a Massey Furguson 165 power steering cylinder. The line coming off of my cylinder is a 1/4" steel line with an O-ring at the end of the threads. The O.D. of the threads is a 1/2". I am wanting to replace that peice of steel line with a 1/4" hydraulic hose that has a thread O.D. of 1/2". I have threaded the hose into the hole and it threads in nicely but it never seats correctly to seal.

I keep seeing the same response when people ask is a o-ring needed to install and John keeps answering no the flare does not require a o-ring. I believe that isn't the question I or the other people have asked. Its obvious the flare fitting seats against the line and doesn't need a o-ring, the question is does the other side require a o-ring? For example the metric m16 power steering hose has a o-ring on the fitting as it screws into the valve in the back of the power steering pump, should the nipple on the power steering adapter also need a o-ring. From the sound of the reviews it does require it. Also how does the imperial thread of the flared fitting work with the metric thread valve in the pump?

I have inverted flare lines, I want to use this adapter on my gm steering box. Does the adapter need and o-ring underneath it to seal to the box or does the brass just seal to the steering box? If it does need an o-ring can you provide a size?

Should it fit loose in the pressure fitting of the power steering pump? When I installed the adapter I was expecting a snug or interference fit in the fitting body. The adapter drops in and easily falls out is this normal? Does the small flange on the adapter make a tight enough seal after tightening the pressure hose nut that it will not leak? Thanks

Can this be used in the steering box as well as the pump? I expect so as it should be the same concept but thought I'd better ask anyway. Thanks Gary
