This is a specific use part.
I am installing a bolt in Mustang 2 front end in a 47 GMC pickup. I have used the bolt in kit from Speedway and had excellent experience with the install. The Issue is that the steering shaft is very close to the SBC left bolt in engine mount so l had to shift the steering rack to the right side of the crossmember for clearance on the left steering side. This essentially shortens the left tierod and lengthens the right. That is what this part helps address. I am using the T-Bird rack and pinion with the Speedway offset bushings. Another issue is exhaust clearance using True Ram manifolds missing the steering shaft access to the steering rack.

Boy was this one screwed up not like Speedway Products
Somebody forgot to thread the tie rod end all the way about a inch was all it had unlike the previous ones I have used and what thread there was missed up my inner tie rod. I was able to correct the problem at a local machine shop. This is not what you get from Speed Way so I was able to correct.

The specs say 1.5" thread length. Can it be threaded on further/deeper than 1.5"? It looks like it could from the picture, but not sure how its manufactured.
