I made the mistake of reading the previous comments and that lead me to believe they really worked. They don't reduce the sound at all on my open headers.

Cuts noise, but robs power
I tried these on my ultra4 offroad race rig and they cut noise, but cost 16 rear wheel HP. I had them mounted at the seam between the collector and muffler. On top of that the engine tune was way out of wack when we added them. I am sure results are purely application specific, but after 1 dyno pull I removed them.
