I had a stock pedal in my 49 Plymouth break off. Needed a pedal assy and wanted something custom. I actually tried an aluminum one first...was cheaper. It kept slipping and coming apart. I bought this one. Installed, and set arm on splined shaft to exactly where I wanted it and it's perfect. And stays there !
