Customers have confirmed the high quality and practicality of our Lokar stainless steel firewall mount dipstick. They appreciate that it's the perfect length for specific car models (e.g., '98 Trans Am) and has flexibility that the factory dipstick lacked, making it an ideal replacement. It was also seamlessly installed into a 700r4 transmission in a 1990 Chevy Sub. Some customers suggest that it could be slightly longer for late 20's and early 40's cars and mention it's priced higher, but they cannot deny its superior construction and easy usability. These features make it a favored choice over competitor products.

Upgraded transmission in a HMMWV military vehicle and the standard dip stick was too short. This fit perfectly and allowed it to be placed in a convenient spot for checking the fluid.

I used this when I took the 6 speed transmission out of my 98 Trans Am and installed a built 700R4. The factory dipstick was not long enough and did not have any flex to it, so I purchased this Lokar stainless steel firewall mount dipstick and it worked perfect and was the correct length. It could not have been any better made in my opinion.
