Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate the quality, durability, and aesthetics of the product, noting that it greatly enhances the vehicle's interior. Its easy installation is a major plus; however, few found the boot-to-frame fit slightly tricky. Usage extends across various car models, including classic vehicles and street rods, demonstrating its versatility. Aspects such as the fit, finish and made-in-USA quality score highly among users. A few have had issues with fit due to individual car specs or found the boot loose around the shifter. Some proposed an addition of pre-punched holes or a zipper for easier installation. Despite few setbacks, overall recommendation and repurchase willingness is strong.

Loved the quality of Lokar made in USA!

This Lokar boot was ordered in conjunction with their shifter and back up light kit. All excellent quality, easy to follow directions and tech was clear and concise when questioned. Using made in USA parts is such a pleasure as everything fits and nothing breaks! at 72 I miss the old USA where everything was made here and had quality. Lay out was important on my part as I had to have room for the 4x4 shifter install at the same time. NOTE: A paper pattern to lay on the floor would be helpful!

Glad to get the boot.

I was pleased with the shifter boot material thickness. The one unexpected thing was how loose it was around the actual shifter. I had to put a black zip-tie around it at the top to keep hot air from coming in to the cab. The mounting ring worked- but was really tight dimension wise for my custom motor/tranny install. Be careful with your floor cut-out size/placement for custom applications. Love doing buisiness with Speedway.

The new shifter boot cover on my 1965 AMC Rambler 330 is just what the doctor ordered. Before, the area around the shifter looked rough. But, slipping on this new boot? Total game changer. The fit is clean, the material feels tough as nails, and it brought the whole interior up a notch without trying too hard. Installation was simple, and now the shifter sits proud, framed by a sharp, classic-looking boot that feels like it belongs there. Bottom line: this wasn't just a cosmetic fix — it tightened up the whole vibe of the car. Looks sharper, feels better, and honestly, it's one of those small upgrades that makes a big difference. Five stars, no doubt about it.
