Details

Equal partners in a smooth-riding leaf spring suspension are quality shocks and friction-free movement of the spring leafs. This special compound of poly-vinyl plastic has a very "slippery" surface which works as a permanent dry lubricant to eliminate interleaf friction and squeaking. It also features a small lip to keep it in place.

One 20 ft. roll does one cross spring. Liner is less than 1/16" thick.

Overall Assessment

Customers praised the product for its quality and practicality, affirming its positive impact on both the aesthetics and noise reduction of leaf springs. The liner was lauded for its ease of installation and trimming, even if a touch of heat was applied. Some users found it essential in restoring classic vehicles like the MGB and 1946 Dodge pickup, while others pointed out its enhancement in riding comfort. Despite minor aesthetics issues like buckling edges, customers expressed contentment with the product's function and durability, emphasizing its superior performance compared to nylon sliders. The product received recommendations for its cost-effectiveness, positive impact on driving, and easy application even on complex restorations.

A little ugly but works...

This product works great, allowing the leafs to slide correctly. The edges get a little warped when bending in the opposite direction but I kept the straightest edges facing the front. The shiny chrome really makes these liners less noticeable and it is all about function over form anyway. If I had to do it again, I would go with leafs that have the nylon sliders at the ends only but since no one makes my size leafs, I used these and they work fine just more visible.

Very disappointed

I was very disappointed in the loose fit (side to side). The vertical sides buckle when applied to the curved spring. Had to modify by cutting off the vertical sides allowing the liner to lay flat.

Easily cut & trimmed. Would not lay flat, lip / edge buckled, presenting a very bad, unprofessional appearance - however, a VERY careful application of heat gun resolved the issue. Installed leaf liner, clamped in place - then used the heat gun on the edges, watching closely. ADVICE: If you consider using a heat gun, be very careful, as this will deform and melt (tested first, on a scrap piece)..

Fit great and my springs were cleaned and painted prior to buying the liner. The liner gives the springs a nice new look while eliminating the noise.
