Speedway Motors 91033035 Details

Equal partners in a smooth-riding leaf spring suspension are quality shocks and friction-free movement of the spring leafs.

This special compound of poly-vinyl plastic has a very "slippery" surface. This works as a permanent dry lubricant that eliminates interleaf friction and squeaking.

Comes as a flat strip so you can trim it to fit any width spring, (front or rear) up to 3-3/4" wide.

Specs

  • Translucent clear teflon type vinyl
  • Approximately 1/32" thick
  • 3-3/4" wide
  • 8 foot roll

Overall Assessment

Customers are pleased with the universal spring liners' quality and functionality, citing the material's durability and ease of use. Some users needed to adjust the liners for a perfect fit, but experienced improved performance of their leaf springs post-installation. The liners effectively eliminate squeaking issues, making for smoother rides. Users appreciate the product's versatility, as it works well across various vehicle models and springs. One discrepancy mentioned is the liner's width; they are 5 inches, not the advertised 4.5. Many customers recommend the product and would buy again, emphasizing its practicality and high quality compared to others in the market.

Replaced both sides, between each spring. Had to dill a hole for each. After center bolt tightened, trimmed excess with razor knife. Great piece of mind. Happy Happy

The quality of the material is good. I still have to make modifications to use it as liners for the leaf springs of my 2001 Dodge Dakota. Will update u when I get to do it.

This seems to have worked very well in rebuilding the leaf springs on my 56 Chrysler New Yorker St Regis. They haven't been road tested yet since I'm still mid restoration but it was an easy install and some test bounces went well. One small complaint is that these were advertised at 4.5 inches wide. They're actually 5 inches which would have allowed me to order half as much as I did for my 2.5 inch leaf springs. I should be able to use the excess on a future project.

I had an issue with my new 2" Iron Man lift springs squeaking, took it to a 4 wheel shop and they only stoped making noise it for a couple of weeks. I installed the Teflon liners and have had no issues since. Great product!
