A multi use part, or...a Ford part on a Chev ???...

I was in the process of replacing the king pins in my 1967 Chevy G10 van when I noticed that the two shims that came with the kit would not be sufficient. I began to search the internet for the parts, when I came across the Speedway Motors website. It was one of those "finding a needle in a haystack" scenarios, but the difference was that it was so easy to order the parts for because of the user friendly order form. The information for the part itself was well described as I was able to use these shims that you sell for the old Fords and use them in my Chevy because of your excellent measurements and part descriptions, oh yeah, and I couldn't believe the price how inexpensive they were, almost makes me want to do another set of king pins for the heck of it!!!.

Worked, but it takes some work.

The shims helped me finish up a kingpin rebuild on a 66 Ford truck. The shims have burrs on the edges that you will have to deal with. Not ready to use out of the box.

Was the only place I could find the needed shims available for my F100 kingpin rebuild (all other sources were "backordered", IF they even offered just the shims)

I used these to shim the steering knuckles on my 1951 Plymouth Cambridge when I replaced the King Pins and bushings. They were the closest sized shims to my king pin I could find and they worked good. No complaints.
