I chose this filter because its a primarily a GM filter, economical, and available at any parts store in America. Its used on many of their vehicles, even Jaguar and Land Rover used them. They are high flow, steel construction and use fittings for connection. I do not like little rubber hoses connecting my fuel lines and find this a safer way to go. This filter uses a metric thread (16 by 1.5 MM) and requires an o-ring type fitting. You can use a GM fuel line repair fitting with quick disconnect ( use the Dorman # 800-170 ) $5.00 per side which is a 3/8 metal line and or you can use an AN fitting for about the same price. Its a steel filter and can be supported by the steel fuel line or, you can make or search for fuel pump bracket for the custom look. Overall its a great filter for the money, easy to use and source.
