Malfunctioning electric choke, Chapter II Alas, been there and done that. I checked the hot line from the ignition wiring harness, and power came on with the ignition going live. The choke showed no activity at all when directly energized from the battery.

How do I troubleshoot the electric choke on a 4160? Starting from cold, no voltage is detected on either terminal of the black cylindrical thing, which I presume is the actuator for choke operation. The choke butterfly does not move at all.
