Overall Assessment

Customers highlight the high quality and affordability of our product, praising its noticeable enhancement to combustion and smooth running. Its practicality is applauded, it being an easy-to-install upgrade from point ignition systems, which fits perfectly despite its larger diameter. Users also noticed an improvement in the vehicle's performance, even on long trips. However, several reviews caution that the product's size can interfere with certain models' wiper motors and may require adjustments to the installations, underscoring its robust build but sizable dimensions. Nonetheless, the consensus remains that the product offers excellent value for the price.

Fit nicely in my 1973 Charger

Fit nicely in my 1973 Charger. Had plenty of clearance. Parked old distributor at #1 cylinder and removed it. Put new distributor in at #1 cylinder. Started car, let it warm up, set timing and good to go. This was a very nice replacement for a HEI distributor that was failing.

We have used about a dozen of these either in our older mopar drivers or in Demolition Derby cars. They are very easy to setup and keep running. They add reliability over the older mopar electronic ignition or points. If you are using this in a vehicle that still has the factory firewall you will more than likely have to clearance around the distributor to make enough room for it. A ball peen hammer or lightly with an air hammer does the trick.

Its a nice quality hei for the price. It is big so be aware Dart drivers. I had to unbolt the wiring harness for the windshield wiper motor to get it in. It rubs slightly on the fire wall.

THIS THING WORKS A LOT BETTER THAN WHAT I HAD, IN A 70 CHALLENGER I HAD TO MOVE THE OIL SENDING UNIT AND MODIFY THE THROTTLE LIKAGE BRACKET. THIS CAR IS A STICK SHIFT, I HAD TO REMOVE THE PART OF BRACKET THAT WOULD HAVE HAD THE KICK DOWN LINKAGE BOLTED TO IT.

I would buy this again
