For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older. Any other use renders the vehicle tampered and not legal for use on California public highways (any public street or roadway, public dirt road, public park, or publicly maintained right of way open to the use of the public for vehicular travel). Violations subject to $37,500 penalty per violation per vehicle, revocation of registration, loss of use on California public right of ways, and proof of correction for tampering. My Super8 Carb wouldn't stop pumping fuel and no matter how I adjusted the float it would leak out of the the hole at the top. I crossed my fingers and hoped replacing this valve would fix it and it did. Not sure why the other failed, it was only ~6 mo old.

I had about given up on the three carb setup I bought from Speedway.As shipped,some fasteners on the carbs were loose,and it took me a while to get the setup to run correctly.Then the car caught fire from the red plastic fuel line leaking.After all was restored,with AN fuel lines,center carb dumped fuel every couple days.After removing and cleaning needle and seat many times,I ordered this.Now works as it should.

Ethonal fuel leaves a film when it evaporates. The film will cause the seat to not seal when pressure is applied to the fuel[ less than 6 lbs].
