Grant Products 3162 Details

This steering wheel adapter allows you to put an aftermarket 3-bolt steering wheel on a GM, Ididit or Flaming River steering column. Horn button not included. Includes black metal cover, horn button spring, spacer ring, plunger spring, lead wire and three mounting bolts.

Note: When using this adapter, if the column has not previously had a steering wheel mounted, # 910-64049 will also be required.

  • 11/16" x 36 spline I.D.
  • 2-1/2" O.D.
  • 1" tall
  • 2-3/8" I.D. holes for the horn plunger lead wire
  • Standard 3-bolt pattern for custom steering wheels in 1/4" fine thread
  • Black metal cover is 4" O.D. and 1" tall. Not plastic!
  • Horn button isolator plate is 2-15/16" O.D.

Installed on my 62 Chevy. Everything that I needed was there. The hub was metal (much better than plastic)and paintable, so I was able to match my grey interior

Had to modify to make it work.

The product generally fit, but I had to modify parts of it to make it work. Expected it to work right out of the box as it was for my application. Unfortunately it is the only adapter that would work with the Grant Steering Wheel.

Probably perfect on most cars. Mine had been "worked" on several times and the cover had to be belt sanded a little to prevent rubbing. Little flat black paint and back in business. So far nothing I've done to this 67 Chevelle has been plug and play. Glad I have lots of tools.
