Overall Assessment

Reviews reveal mixed experiences with the product. Positive feedback praises its excellent performance and competitive price point. Users with a sports model car specifically mention its superior functionality. On the contrary, numerous users mention an issue with the carb running rich—indicating excessive fuel consumption. These customers reported they had to manually adjust parts, frustratingly detracting from its practicality and usability. This misalignment suggests potential quality control lapses. Despite the issues encountered, the resolution provided by support is commended, enhancing overall satisfaction. Emphasize cautious purchase.

Built an 85 monte carlo hobby stock with all new parts from front to back using speedway parts. Speedway it's self is great, but this carb has caused me weeks of frustration and hell. As soon as I put the carb on, it was running rich and the front fuel bowl wasn't holding but a small amount of fuel even after adjusting. Replaced needle and seat and the fuel bowl issue was resolved. Took weeks of diagnosing the ignition because there's no way it could have been the carb because it was built just for this engine package. After taking the carb apart for the third time and starting to re-calibrate every aspect of it. I found a bent arm that pushes down on the primary accelerator pump arm and the secondary accelerator pump was also pushing down on it's accelerator pump arm to far which was dumping fuel into the engine and making it run rich. Long story short, Speedway does not handle any issues with this carburetor. They tell you to talk to AED. So I did one week and they were great and told me if I had any more issues to call back and they would afford me a UPS label to ship it back to them for diagnosing of the problems. Called today for that shipping label and they guy just wanted to have me try more of this or that and report back to him again if that didn't work. So if I was you reading this and you are like me and know just enough to get started in this crazy sport. Save your money on this nice looking product and buy a regular Holley 4150 and calibrate it and customize it to your hearts content. You will learn much more and appreciate the work that you have put into your carb instead of trying to buy the experience outright.
