Rebuild Your G-Comp X Front Suspension or build custom with our Uprights
In the unfortunate instance where you may have had an off-track excursion or other situation where your G-Comp X front suspension was damaged, we offer replacement spindle uprights for you to get back on track quickly. These spindle uprights are the exact same ones originally provided in your G-Comp X front suspension system and allow you to bolt on/transfer any undamaged parts to these new uprights. Of course, if you need new hubs, steering arms, control arms, or any other items that may have been damaged in the process, refer to your instructions for part numbers and simply give us a call to order those items.
These spindle uprights are based off the C7 Corvette spindle with our own unique geometry to work with the G-Comp front suspension. Using the C7 Corvette hub, they can also be used to upgrade a standard G-Comp front suspension, which utilizes a forged spindle, to the stronger fabricated spindle uprights used in the G-Comp X kits. You would need the G-Comp X upper control arm and a few other pieces, but it is a bolt-on upgrade. Upgrading to the G-Comp X spindle upright now only provides additional strength but provides for an increased selection of performance braking options as well. If interested, please call to speak with one of our tech team members.
Finally, if you’re considering designing your own front suspension and looking for a solid Corvette spindle upright that is proven, the G-Comp X spindle upright is a great starting point for your custom suspension. The G-Comp X spindle upright is designed to use first gen GM F-body K5103 type lower ball joints, so you can either use a pre-made tubular arm with said ball joint or fabricate your own arms that use the correct ball joint.
The upper ball joint installed in the spindle upright is from the C5/C6 Corvette (installed inverted) that requires the use of the G-Comp X upper control arm such as # 350-203, or you will have to fabricate your own upper control arm to accept the proper ball joint taper orientation. (Upper ball joint # 350-1101) The bolt-on steering arms use the first gen GM F-body bolt spacing of 4.125 inches, so you may be able to use stock F-body steering arms but will most likely have to fabricate something to work with your steering system. Or now consider our available steering arm pair # 910-35011. Lastly, the brake mounting tabs are placed for the correct fitment of most C6 Corvette such as # 350-2001 or disc brake systems found on the market for a bolt on brake solution.
Whether you’re simply trying to get your G-Comp X equipped ride back in action, or perhaps you’re looking to create your own unique front suspension solution to support your custom build or engine swap needs and looking for a C7 Corvette spindle design, our G-Comp X spindle upright is a great starting point.
