Speedway Motors 91639517 Details

These front suspension packages make it easier to begin transforming your Model A frame into a rolling chassis. Kits include a 48" I-beam axle, radius rods, leaf spring and shackles. Kit works well with the SM300 Pro Shocks (shocks not included).

Axle kit designed to work with frame #916-57045.

All I-beam axles use the Ford spindle. We have brake kits with both Chevy and Ford bolt patterns available for the Ford spindle.

The brake kit you select will determine the final track width (hub to hub). The brake kits intended for this application (the Wilwood or our 702-4475 Metric brake kit) produce a final track width of about 56-1/4". Some of the other brake kits (like the 916-31903), which are not recommended for this application, would increase the track width by over an inch.

I'm in the planning stage for a 31 coupe and have decided on frame 91657045 with front end part 91639517. In the tech tips it says it should include a panhard bar but I'm not sure which one I will need or where to install it. Can you give me some insight?

I'm rebuilding a 29 Model A Hot Rod with the extended front the wheels are 3/4 out in front of the grill. The original one had wishbones... this kit has the hairpins can you tell me the length of these hairpins and what would work better for my extended setup. If you think wishbones I will probably use my old ones or will these work with this kit. Part # 91645128 Thanks Dave
