Overall Assessment

Customers praised the product’s quality and practicality, especially in complex car projects. Despite a few minor modifications, one customer remarked that it was the easiest thing they've done. Positive notes were also made about its application in a 1958 Ford F100 upgrade, with the parts fitting easily and detailed guidance provided for a proper fit. However, some difficulties were reported with the rotor installation and seal pocket chamfering, requiring a bit of extra work. The majority of customers recommend the product, advising that some additional adjustments to the seal pocket can enhance the installation process. The product stands out for its solid material quality and usability.

another reviewer mentioned the lack of a chamfer on the seal pocket, i experienced the same issue. of the two rotors, one seal installation went without problem, however the second rotor has a very sharp edge with burrs that caught the seal and cut it so that now i need to make a trip to the parts house to buy a new one. over the last 45yrs i've installed more than my share of seals, now i will follow the other reviewers lead and use a grinder. i will still recommend this kit IF the seal pocket is ''worked'' some.

The rotor-hub fit onto the spindle after changing the outer race as instructed. The only problem I had was having to machine the step pilot on the front of the hub to allow my Cragar SS's to seat onto the face surface. Just glad I checked that before I got everything assembled first, liked about 0.150" going on all the way. Had to remove all the studs and mount onto lathe in order to turn this step down.

Why is it hat the rotors come with the outer bearing races already installed that are the wrong ones but there is no instructions saying they need to be replaced with the extra set sent with the kit? A little heads up would have been great!

First off the rotor needs a lot of work to be useable. The instructions tell you to remove the outside bearing race, not a problem if you have a decent rotor to work with. There are no notches in the ID to either use a punch or use a press, so you either use an end mill to cut notches in the rotor or try and drill the bearing race...good luck. Next you are required to press in the inner bearing seal, usually not a problem, IF you have a properly machined rotor, which you don't have. The ID of the seal pocket is supposed to have a chamfer on the ID to assist in starting the seal guess what no chamfer only a sharp edge, do yourself a favor and take a die grinder and put one on the ID ...seal will start and seat with no problem Hope this helps. I used to machine these same rotors in the mid 1990's and have been a mechanic for 50 years so I know what I'm talking about.

I have a 1979 F100 2 wheel drive. 5x5.5 bolt pattern hard time finding wheels with the big hub on the stock rotors. I see a step down on the hub on this rotor, what are the two dimensions. Thanks
