Definitely improved cooling at low speeds
I bought this as a possible replacement for the standard 4 blade fan in my 55 caddy. The Speedway website fitment guide rightly said it might not fit my car, however with a little careful trimming of the points of the blades it fitted well with sufficient clearance. Here in the UK low speed driving and standing traffic in town are the norm. The original 4 blade fan was simply unable to draw enough air through the radiator in these conditions to stop my caddy from eventually overheating. This 6 blade fan was enough to tip the balance and I've had no overheating even when stuck in traffic jams for over an hour in the summer heat. Once painted black it looks stock and with the alloy blades doesn't add any weight. Easier and more attractive than adding an electric fan.

i would probably buy again
These fans are used on my 348/409 engines, are quiet and efficient, BUT.... my previous fan was black as it should be, so what's up with the SILVER color. I have to repaint it now

Moves allot more air than my old fan, but is a little heavy for a race car. Thought the whole thing was aluminum, but the center is steel and the blades are aluminum.

Been using this same fan for years. Pulls a lot air. Steel center with aluminum fins works perfect for about any application. Doesn't break like a jones blade or that high dollar blue fan.

Fan will be used in trying to cool a hot rod 1963 Ford Falcon that runs on the warm side. If fan moves the amount of air that looks like it will, problem will be solved.

After disconnecting hoses, draining and removing my radiator and shroud I found out this fan wasn't that universal. It took a whole day and three gallons of antifreeze to get things back together and no new fan.
