    For race/ off road use or for use on pre-1966 vehicles.

    Emissions warning: this part only legal for sale or use in California for racing (competition) vehicles which may never be used, registered, or licensed for use upon a public highway, or if installed in vehicles model-year 1965 or older; motorcycles model-year 1977 or older; or off-highway recreational vehicles (such as off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles) model-year 1996 and older.     Needed to replace the o2 sensor bung on a jeep. Bought this and actually welded it to the pipe. Worked perfect. Could have used the clamps, but wanted a more permanent fix. This item did exactly what I needed.

    I have a Ram 2500 whose o2 sensor runs cold enough under some light-load conditions to stop reading, which causes my computer to run the fuel injection system too rich, ruining driveability. I will use this kit to relocate the o2 sensor nearer to the exhaust manifold so it will always be hotter, thus always giving the computer enough info to avoid dropping out of "closed-loop" operation. With this kit, I won't have to remove the headpipe, or try to weld in a difficult location to install a new bung. My only reservation is that the worm drive clamps won't be sufficient, so I may use a couple of regular exhaust clamps, since our state inspection here is very fussy about exhaust leaks. I'm very pleased with the looks and quality of the product and hope to install it soom on my truck. I'd buy again from Speedway in a heartbeat!
