    Edelbrock 8725 Details

    Use open spacers where more plenum volume or more carb-to-plenum floor distance is required. 4-hole spacers enhance low-rpm torque and throttle response and dampen reversion effects on the carb. The superior heat insulating properties of wood fiber laminate are ideal for reducing heat transfer to the carb.

    I use this spacer for heat soak/vapor lock on a C10 previously so I bought one for my second C10. It works good for this. I used to be able to hear the fuel boiling after I shut off the engine. Now I can continuously touch the carb while the engine is running. You will still need to buy carb studs as the ones supplied are 2" and you will need 2.5". I also do not like the open carb gaskets as they don't match the spacer. Last time I bought two 4 hole gaskets and trimmed the bottom gasket to match the spacer - probably not actually necessary. This time I bought a 4 hole for the top and will probably just run the open gasket on the bottom.
