    Bought this as suggested by Edelbrock Technical advisor to mitigate vacuum leak. I was mounting an Edelbrock 1405 carburetor (square bore) onto a Weiand 8004 (spread bore) intake. Tech suggested I try this one and if problem persisted to install an Edelbrock 2696 adapter. So far the whistling has abated so believe it is doing the job.

    I'm changing the Holley double pumper to the Edelbrock 1406. Which (if any) adapter plate do I need. The intake is an Edelbrock on a mostly stock 350 sm block GM with only a small cam and roller rockers. It's in a '35 Chevy street rod, no racing, only cruising.
