The Eaton Corporation 19557-010 GM 8.5" Posi Performance 28 Spline Differential. Big torque doesn't have to mean big traction problems. Eaton Posi Performance differentials combine carbon friction discs with precision-forged gears to give you great traction, even under higher torque loads. Plus, the carbon friction discs produce smooth, quiet performance for the life of your vehicle.

For installing an Eaton 19557-010 limited-slip differential into a rear axle housing, special differential carrier bearings and races are not included with the unit - you must procure them separately to fit the carrier into your axle correctly.

The 19557-010 differential requires specific carrier bearings and races based on the axle bearing bore size.

  • For GM 8.5" / 8.6" rear axles with small bearing bores (typically on vehicles pre-1999) - requires bearing cone # LM102949 and bearing cup/race # LM102911
  • For GM 8.5" / 8.6" rear axles with large bearing bores (typcially 1999-2013) - requires bearing cone # LM603049 and bearing cup/race # LM603012

Eaton products carry a one-year warranty from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. The use of tires with diameters larger than 35 in. on limited-slip differentials will void this warranty. The use of tires larger than vehicle manufacturer recommendations will void this warranty on ELocker differentials. Differential assemblies must be registered by the consumer directly to Eaton to validate their warranties.
