Overall Assessment

Customers highly rate the product, noting its quality and effectiveness. Many mention it fitting well in different types of vehicles including a 37 Buick custom and a '56 Fairlane, although some mention modifications needed in unique builds. The power brake booster, in particular, receives praise for enhancing braking capabilities, with one user noting substantial improvement upon upgrading from a 7" to an 8" booster. However, issues with the accompanying master cylinder not fitting all cars are reported. The product is also appreciated for its practicality and safety improvements in transformed vehicles. Understanding initial difficulties, such as a stuck input shaft, would benefit from clearer instructions.

The power brake booster worked just fine it fit the car with the kit no problem. The master cylinder that came with it that was supposed to fit the car did not fit at all could not be used wrong part will be returned and then I'll see how well that goes then I would be happy to write a review again. But you did a good job with the power booster it fit the car.

Input shaft of the booster seemed stuck, I could not move it manually. Called tech and they thought it was ok to attach vacuum to help break it loose. this worked. attached 21 mm hg of vacuum and it took only 13 lbs to move the input shaft. Then I removed vacuum and it took 44 lbs to move. It would be good if there was a note inside the package explaining this issue and how to deal with it. Also the input shaft bellows slips off the nose of the booster too easy, would be better if there was a zip tie holding it on. Bottom line is that it is a good quality unit at a good price. I will comment again after I get the system installed and tested

Because this was for a modified build on a 37 Buick, we had to modify a few things to make it work, but we knew that before ordering it. Everything turned out awesome.

All parts were well built and fit below the floor of my 50 chevy truck well. I did have to alter a trans mount / crossmember to get good clearance. But in the end it fits nicely.

I've been fighting gremlins in my '56 Fairlane's brakes for a while now. This 8" booster replaced a 7" and did a miracle- it'll nose dive now! My only complaint is that a combo should have needed/matching parts. The master cylinder has no insert to make contact with the booster. I had to make one from a 1/2" bolt. Don't waste your time and money on a 7" booster, get the 8".
