$7 for a nut is pretty crazy, but that's DMI not Speedway. But everything was perfect with Speedway, as usual.

what is the outside diameter of the nut at end that meets the plate?

Quantity in pack The price of $6.99 is listed as Each but in the description it says it comes as a pack of 6. The Winters nuts are $4.99 ea I believe so I wasn't sure which is correct. $6.99 for 6 is a great price. $6.99 ea not so much. Even though they do appear to have eliminated the washer on them that always fails over time. Thanks
