You stated, the cable simply plugs into the antenna socket in back of the radio. What's the extra wire for? Acc . Direct 12v, or ground?

Bought a car with one of these installed, do not get any radio reception, only static, something wrong Could use install instructions to see if it is hooked up correctly.
