I looked high and low and in-between for a good fitting perfect aligned Alternator Bracket Kit. From the Most Expensive to the cheapest junk you can imagine and in the end I went back to What Chevrolet designed themselves to solve this problem. I didn't want it mounted on the passenger side but that's how it was designed and actually the best way possible to mount the Alternator. I even tried a power master mini kit and it fit right but I was never happy with the belt alignment. The key to keeping a belt on is solid torque free, Twist Free mounting and belt alignment that is spot on perfect no matter what RPM your turning...then no matter how much torque or instant power you throw at it ....that belt ain't coming off and this OEM style bracket kit is the only one I can say met all my expectations for this1972 no frills, plain Jane, Rally Nova Restoration Project I just finished.....only thing is it's got a Built 434 Small Block under the hood and the Factory Muncie has been Replaced with a ex-Pro-Stock 4 Speed and 2nd Generation Mr Gasket Vertical Gate In Line Shifter, Hooked to a Narrowed GM 12 bolt Rear Differential custom built by Moser Engineering to handle the big Mickey Thompson Rear Tires and keep them under the body. Basically It's a stick shift Drag Car hiding in plain sight....if it wasn't for the idle of the roller cam and the fact with Slicks on it it can run in the 8.50 1/4 mile Classes with no power adders just a single K-B Custom Dominator carb and race fuel....it's a fun little sleeper of a street car.....oh yeah it's got a NHRA Certified Chrome Moly Cage and square tube full frame but it still looks 100% Stock....but turn the key and hit the buttons and it sure don't sound stock.
