If you still need a front axle for your pre-2008 Total Performance® T-bucket, you had better read this. The Total Performance® T-bucket spindles were a hybrid that combined Econoline kingpins, early Chevy bracket mounting tabs and early Ford wheel bearing surfaces. Unfortunately these spindles are no longer being manufactured. Speedway has these special built radius rods that will allow you to use our Ford or Chevy tubular axles.

Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate our product's quality and functionality, particularly as a drop-in replacement for bent sets. The usability of the hairpins is praised - users don't need to tap the threaded areas due to effective pre-chroming. The material quality sets our hairpins apart, striking a balance between robust steel and easy-to-tighten aluminum. Customers have indicated they would buy our product again, showing preference over potential competitors. Despite requiring only an Allen wrench for tightening, the product is still seen as dependable and safe.

I used these hairpins on the front of my 1923 t bucket.i liked the fact that I did not have to run a tap throght the threaded areas as they plugged the properly before the chroming prosses

I bought these because the ones on my rebuild were bent and I wanted to keep the TP chrome front spring and drop axle assembly, so I needed a drop-in replacement. The old steel hanger bolts were drilled for safety wire, but these just have an aluminum bolt that only takes an Allen wrench to tighten. I'm hoping Locktite is adequate for the job.

Concerning Part # 7151331. My radius rods measure 34 inches. 7151331 measures 32.5 inches. What were the measurements Total Performance's originals. I cant find exact replacements and don't really want to re-do rear mounting point. If I end up making my own, what wall thickness of DOM 7/8" tubing should I use?

Installed length? What is the installed length of these radius rods? Are they like four-bar links that measure 3" longer installed than the end-to-end without rod ends?
