Or maybe the kids need braces, and your garage therapy must be put on hold. Whatever the reason, you need to put up your LS engine until such time you can continue with your project. This is the 21st century, so don’t waste your time attempting to make engine block off port covers with masking tape that dries out in a month leaving a powdery mess and no protection, or even worse duct tape that takes two days of cleaning the sticky mess off your pretty aluminum cylinder heads a year from now. Instead, pick up our aluminum LS engine block off plate kit that quickly and easily bolt down over your intake and exhaust ports and water pump inlet/outlet, fully sealing these ports from garage critters and keeping your LS ready to go.

A 3/8-inch Thick Intake Port Cover Ensures Proper Sealing

Our LS engine block off kit fits all LS engines except for the LS7 and is made from premium materials, including 3/8-inch-thick billet aluminum for our intake block off plates. These are machined to a true flatness, ensuring the best sealing possible. While gaskets or port O-rings are not included, you can easily cut custom intake gaskets for 100 percent moisture protection for pressure washing and painting duties using some intake gasket material if you so wish. The water pump and exhaust port block off plates are made from .090-inch-thick aluminum and can be enhanced with water pump and header gaskets for them as well for additional sealing security. Installation of these engine block off plates are quick and easy, requiring only clean and debris free gasket surfaces before installation. This engine block off kit can be used for storage of spare race engines, long term storage of a project engine, protecting port openings during pressure washing or painting, and more!
