Customers have mixed feelings about the product. Some praised it for being a good quality filter that fits carburetor scoops or stromberg scoop perfectly, providing a sleek look for their vehicles. Others liked that these filters are better in filtration than foam ones. However, a number of reviewers found the product to restrict airflow too consequentially, causing engine issues and a decline in car performance. Several customers also found it necessary to add additional material to secure the filter on their engines properly. Consequently, the product may not be suited for larger engines or multi-carburetor setups.

If you like play hide and go seek
If you like chasing an air filter or filters then this one is for you. The first little cough through the carb and your chasing this thing around engine bay or picking it up off the road. I think it also hurts performance a little as the car always seems to run and idle better with it off. If you get one of these I recommend a clamp to keep it on. Don't know if it will work or not as the last time mine came off it committed suicide in the fan.

Stop changing your oil every month. These fit the scoops nice & snug. They come off once you reach the car show.

Tried to use these on my flathead with dual Stromberg carbs and the engine would barely run. Took them off and it was back to running fine. A waste of money for sure and I'm still looking for a way to filter the air through my scoops

I do not recommend this for any deep breathing engine.

Unfortunately these little filters didn't work for me. I run a stroker sbc with a mild roller cam. Intake is a 4 Strommie setup and these filters restrict airflow to the point that it feels like I left the chokes on at anything over 1500 r.p.m. While they snap neatly over the air scoops and provide nice drive in appearance, they render my car undriveable when installed.

These are a great looking and working filter, and far superior in filtration than the in neck foam ones. Only downside is that they are far more restrictive than the foam filters so you need to make sure of your AF ratios before buying them or you risk choking out the engine

This product is perfect for the carb scoops. I had to purchase them because the metal screens that i bought for my Holley 94s would not fit in the carb throats.
