Looks like a quality set and recommended by the specialist. I didn't like the way the gaskets were piled in the box from Best but otherwise they look good.

I've tried several other name brand gaskets for a nail head, best is the only one that dose not leak between the head and block from not sealing the front oil galley to the rocker arms.all the other fit good with out problems

the products supplied by speedway are the "Best" built.

Gasket set for Buick nailhead

About the only acceptable head gaskets for the venerable Buick Nailhead. The rest of the gasket set is nicely made and quality.

Speedway had this item when I could not

Speedway had this item when I could not find it else where. As this gasket set is for a vintage Buick engine not many parts houses carry it, especially those volume retail stores that are the trend today O'riely, Pep Boys, Auto Zone). Thank you Speedway for looking out for us older guys working on older cars.

Best vs Competitor

I have used this gasket set on multiple Buick 401 engines over the past two years. I also tried the competitor's full gasket set for these engines. This gasket set (Best) may cost more than the competitor's, but it is worth every penny. The timing cover seal is a modern lip seal from Best, but a rope seal from the competitor. I prefer the head gaskets from Best as you do not need to use copper spray when assembling. Also, the gasket set from Best uses cork rocker cover gaskets whereas the competitor uses cheap solid rubber.
