This is a fairly sturdy set, and is a great tool for the home mechanic to have. I have used it both with a hammer, and with a press. Worked well both ways. My only complaint, and it won't apply to many, is that this set could use a couple of larger dies with it. I had to change the inner wheel bearing on a Ford E350 (Dually front hub), and the largest one was just a bit too small for the bearing race, and way too small for the seal. You will not run into this issue on most automobiles though, as the bearings/seals are much smaller.
