I had the speedway gauges and never could get the two water temp probes into the heads far enough. The ford flatty had two gauges one in each head. Finally I saw these and they worked great. A bit embarrassed that I didn't see these listed years ago.

Enable you to use 3/8 NPT for temp sender. Auto meter gauges are furnished with 1/2 NPT adaptor. Many aftermarket intake manifolds have only 3/8 NPT port.

The female portion of the adapter is not deep enough. My water temp sensor was a common name brand and only one thread engaged thus resulting in it being stripped when tightened
