I was getting fluctuations from the fairly new electric dash gauge so got this one and it's in the line from the engine to the remote filter and is showing the accurate pressure and is steady and doesn't fluctuate like the electric one does when the electricity fluctuates. It's installed in a custom built (by me) Sunbeam Tiger

I use this on my micro sprint to measure fuel pressure on my injection system. It akes a lot of rough treatment due to track conditions. I recently replaced the same gauge as part of routine maintenance and the old gauge was measuring same as the new after over a year of racing.

The first fuel pressure guage I purchased was from a different parts distributor. And to be honest I have no clue as to who actually manufactured it? Needless to say it failed within a few months. The plug on the side of the guage where the special oil goes In during manufacturing simply came out. The oil drained out into a puddle on my intake manifold. But what's evendors worse is it started leaking fuel right through the guage and out that same hole! Not good with a super hot Turbo just on other side of valve cover. I was lucky to not have an engine fire!? My tuner and engine builder guy suggested the "Auto Meter" brand and said he had used them for many years and on many engine builds with no issues. I have now had the guage on the car for approximately one month now with no problems. One thing I would like to point out on this new meter is that they put a strong black rubber band or sleeve around the guage which goes right over the plug that seals the hole where the oil goes into the guage. Obviously it's extra insurance by the manufacturer to ensure the plug does not come out. I already have more confidence in this guage based on that alone. Seems to be of much higher quality than the off brand one that failed on me. Like I said so far so good.
