Overall Assessment

Customers appreciate the product for its high quality, compact design and easy mounting, making it a practical choice for cooling systems. The large volume of the aux cooler and the internal fins of the cooler effectively dissipate heat, contributing to its effectiveness. Despite one review suggesting it doesn't allow enough cooling time, the overall consensus indicates that this product performs well, even under strenuous conditions, and works especially well for specific models like a '57 Chevy or a '54 Chevy 3600. Moreover, it's noted for its aesthetic appeal and sturdy construction. Several customers would recommend this product over competitors and consider repurchasing it, pointing to its value in the market.

Used as a power steering fluid cooler

My Ford Fusion has its power steering cooler built into the air conditioner condenser. So obviously I couldn't use the stock replacement. I was able to bolt it to the front part of the frame and run hoses with slices in the path of the fluid return. And it just so happens the Ford uses transmission fluid in its power steering. Not that that matters. Had to make some small modification to the device to bleed the air out of it. But all in all it was a pretty simple install and it works well.

Not enough cooling time

The tranny cooler is not what I thought it would be, this cooler has oil going in one end and coming out the other end. What I thought I was getting was a longer tube with a return on the same end as the oil entering the oil cooler. This cooler doesn't allow enough time to cool the oil. So I will be returning this product.

The 3" diameter works great along side the 4" box tube frame. The 18" length fits perfect between the trans crossmember & where the frame z's up in the rear.

I have a '31 Ford hiboy with a mild Ford 302 and a C-4 trans. I would like to get rid of the cooler in front of the radiator. The exhaust is outside the frame. Can I expect adequate cooling with this unit. I seldom really exercise the power available.
