Be it an LS swap, or perhaps even the factory engine, turbocharging whatever you have under the hood of your project car is extremely popular these days. Unlike a supercharger that requires mounting brackets and some sort of interface with your accessory drive system for the supercharger belt drive, a turbo (or twin turbos!) can be mounted just about anywhere they’ll physically fit. Once you have determined your turbo mounting location it is simply a matter of plumbing your hot and cold side of the turbo. The hot side is often easy, as most will use a turbo header or manifold with a bolt up flange for the turbo to mount to, keeping the hot side short to minimize turbo lag. The cold side can be a bit more involved, as you have to plumb the cold side from the turbo’s compressor outlet to the engine’s intake (carb hat or throttle body). This often entails a trip through an intercooler as well to help cool the hot compressed inlet air. Our cold side intercooler pipe kits make fabricating this path between your turbo’s compressor outlet and engine much quicker and easier.

Eight Piece Intercooler Tubing Kit Includes Popular Bends to Build Your Cold Side Plumbing

Our cold side universal intercooler pipe kit is available in both 2-1/2-inch and 3-inch intercooler tube diameters and includes eight tubing pieces to allow you to build your cold side induction routing. These include two of each of these three common bends: 45-degree, 90-degree, and 180-degree, along with two sections of straight pipe. All intercooler tubing features a 2mm (0.078”) wall thickness, which is equivalent to 12 gauge sheet aluminum, and bead rolled hose retainers at both ends. You have your option of polished aluminum intercooler piping or gloss black powder coated aluminum tubing to complement or contrast your engine compartment. 

To make your cold side plumbing build complete our intercooling pipe kit contains tough 3-ply silicone joint couplers, including two 90-degree silicone couplers and six straight couplers, along with 16 stainless steel hose clamps to secure your connections. The silicone joint sleeves are blue in color for the polished aluminum and black for the black powder coated intercooler piping kits. We also offer additional transition and adapter style silicone couplers to connect to EFI throttle bodies and other larger diameter openings on intercoolers and such. Additionally, for those going the turbocharged yet carbureted route, we offer a vast selection of single and dual inlet carb hats to get your pressurized inlet air to your carburetor.
