I needed a solution to seal up a brake pedal through the floor of a 1940 Ford hot rod project. This allowed me to install with the two pieces and screw it through the carpet to the floor pan for a solid install. Due to the bulk of the carpet and rubber seal I added side pins to keep the trim ring flat.
