AFCO S-Series Fixed Bearing Shocks offer tremendous value by packaging race-proven design, proven value combinations, and durability in an economical, fixed bearing design that can be used with or without coilovers.
AFCO fixed bearing shocks feature quality bearing ends that allow for free movement in applications where other mounts could be bound and reduce shock effectiveness. The available standard valves, as well as split valves, allow for multiple tuning options with a simple shock swap.

Customers appreciate the AFCO 14 series shock for its affordability and its suitability for street stock/sportsman racing. Essential features include its spherical rod ends that enhance performance although they require regular maintenance to ensure mobility. Users have particularly noted recent improvements in the rod ends' free movement, indicating a possible upgrade in the product. This product has been praised for its racing suitability over other available options, affirming its competitive advantage. A rare piece of criticism, a user mentioned a broken end during the third race using a new shock. However, overall, customers vouch for its reliability, especially for racecar use.

Run these shocks on my vintage car. They perform absolutely great. Our purse doesn't pay much so consequently I don't like to spend for high end parts. These shocks fit the bill perfectly.

My racing division allows only this series shock. Good, low cost shock for street stock/sportsman. Be sure to oil and free up the spherical rod ends often. I have gotten a couple of these shocks with no movement of the rod end out of the box. Broke an end off a new shock 3rd race might. Thie one I just received seems to have more clearance and moves very freely. Hopefully they have solved the issue.
