Every task has a specific tool needed for a safe and successful completion. Dismantling and rebuilding your Ford 9 Inch rear-end is a daunting task - it requires some heavy lifting and incredible strength to assemble one. We have just the tool to help you rebuild your rear-end. This adjustable pinion yoke wrench is used to hold the center gear section of your rear-end in place, while you unscrew the pinion nut. This tool bolts to your pinion yoke (adjustable, fits various different yoke styles) and prevents it from spinning in place when removing or installing the pinion nut.

GREAT TOOL!!!
Very nicely made with a thick black powder coat finish. It locked my pinion in place perfectly allowing me to get that 220 lb feet of torque to the pinion nut. EXCELLENT VALUE. Remember that the pinion holes aren't threaded so you just need to use a pair of nuts and bolts that will slide through this tool and the holes of your pinion. Don't worry that the holes might not be big enough for your actual u-bolt size. It doesn't matter.

Simplified pinion nut/yoke removal
Simplifies pinion nut removal without resorting to removing the pinion housing assembly from the rear to put the yoke in a vise to zip the nut off. In theroy, the carrier bearing adjustment portion of the tool should work and mine did, up to the point where the pins got loose and fell out. If the pins had stayed put, I would have given this tool a 5 star rating.

I replaced the pinion yoke on my ford fox body 8.8 with a Strange forged 1350 style yoke, this tool worked for holding the yoke so I could torque the pinion nut.

This tool was much needed to hold the companion flange while setting the pre-load. Used along with the carrier holder that mounts to your engine stand, made this job much easier!

This is the only tool I could find that works with the Ford WER 8.5" integral carrier axle. I drive a 1969 Custom 2-door sedan with a 302, C4 and WER. I've been told many times to swap it out for a 9" or an 8.8" but this means I can keep my car original.

Used this on Ford 9 inch and 8 inch non-integral carriers for setting pinion preload and backlash, and on Ford 8.8 integral carrier pinion preload. Worked like a charm.
