    One of the weak links in a small block Ford's oiling system is the anemic oil pump driveshaft. At higher RPMs they tend to twist up like a piece of wet spaghetti and break causing major engine failure. Replacing it with a good quality oil pump driveshaft like this one from ARP is cheap insurance for the life of your engine.
