These pliers were priced right, and worked fine they were just kinda tight due to being brand new. All my crimps worked right the first time!

You get what you pay for.
Not bad for the price, but if you plan on making a bunch of crimps, spark plug wires, etc, then go ahead and buy a better set. I only needed to make a set of plug wires for a v8 so I wasn't worried. They are quite tight and don't open and close easily so you may have to scratch some of the paint off by the hinge so they work better.

The jaws on the stripping end do not come together close enough to bite into the insulation any of the guage sizes.

These crimpers amazed me. For the price being so low I thought they wouldn't work. Easiest and best job I've done on plug wires, why didn't I buy these years ago? You still need to form the connector with pliers to do a correct crimp.
