Replace that cheap, die-cast water neck with this billet aluminum beauty. It has an extra thick flange to ensure sealing and includes a restrictor to slow down water flow if needed. Accepts standard radiator hose.

  • O.D. of the end the hose slides over is 1.328"
  • O.D. of the neck where the hose clamps is 1.22"
  • Machined area for thermostat is 1-11/16” (common 1-5/8” thermostat)
  • Comes with restrictor washer

Oh man this looks so much better than the stock piece. It eliminated the extra nipple that runs to the heater box that I no longer have installed. Plus it comes with a restrictor if you don't run a thermostat. Win win situation

Great looking part for Mustang Mini Stock. Part is longer than stock. If your using a 7" water pump pully this part will not work or must be cut shortened and welded.

Why would you want the washer? Why would you need the washer to slow water flow? Seems like you would want as much flow as possible.

Will this housing accept a thermostat instead of the included restrictor? I'm putting this on a 2.3 turbo from an 86 turbo coupe, but it's in a 1978 ford courier. Does this housing point the same direction as the 2.3 turbo housing? I think it's the same as the N/A 2.3s?
