Speedway Motors 91034914 Details

Back in the day the steering arms on some Chevelle/Malibus were a different length depending on if they were power or manual steering. The manual cars had a longer arm and if you convert them to power steering you still have slow steering. These forged arms are shorter (faster) than manual steering arms.

Specs

Mount hole pattern to the spindle is 4 1/4" center to center.  Length center of tie rod hole to closest mount hole is 3 3/4" and to furthest mount hole is 8".

The car I used these spindles on had been cobbled up with camaro spindles and did not have the steering arms present. In order to use the correct chevelle spindles I had to find steering arms. Thanks speedway for having them.

Are these steering arms forged or cast steel? Are these arms intended for a "front steer" set-up or "rear steer". If they are for a rear steer and are forged is it possible to heat and bend the arms for the front steer set-up? Also are there tie rod ends that will mate these steering arms to the Thunderbird power rack and pinion (#91035341)? Thanks
