Overall Assessment

The product is highly appreciated by customers for its affordability, quality, and performance. Users noted the high quality and its great value for money. It is practical and efficient, praised as an easy-to-assemble, easy-to-install kit; however, minor tweaking like grinding was required for some users. The product performed as expected and demonstrated good usability, working well once installed. The product was recommended as a viable alternative to competitors due to its excellent price-quality ratio, ease of installation, and functionality. It is considered as a good bargain, customizable, and great for custom builds. Despite some lack of detailed instructions, the kit was still rated as excellent and easy to use.

Done in a day.

I had to do a bit of grinding to make things fit. Had to grind some excess casting on the calipers and make a little notch in one of the brackets to clear a bolt. There's also a bearing cup you're supposed to replace. I couldn't get the stock one out so what I did was just doubled up the washer that goes between the outer wheel bearing and the big castle nut on the spindle. With only one of those big washers on there the nut screws down too far and the cotter pin doesn't do it's job. When the washers are doubled up it works fine. That's the only reason I could see for replacing the bearing cup. Everything is snug and spins as it should. Honestly biggest problem was getting the old rusty stuff off the truck!!

Very good price but takes some modifications to work

After trying to install the kit with no instructions I noticed that the calipers will not clear the mounting brackets to have full range of motion. I called tech support to make sure I didn't have a bad part or parts. They said you have to grind the caliper casting that is near the new mounting bracket. Again no instructions but all in all a good bargain.

Overall it's good. I did have to shave some of the caliper to make it fit. I did not receive direction for the front conversion, but the back did have directions. I would recommend this kit.

We're working on a bit of a Heinz 57 project, trying to rebuild my dad's original "hobby" car from the early 1960's. The body is a 1935 Chevy, it has a 270 c.i. GMC six cylinder in it (took us a while to identify) and turns out... it's on a '57-'64 Ford truck frame.... but with a 1950's fully size GM steering box. We like to have never figured out what the frame was while we were trying to do something for brakes. It had the old drum brakes on the front... but I couldn't pin down what those were off of, until a buddy of mine got wind that the bolt pattern was 5.5 x 5... he said, "That's a Ford!" So... it was off to Speedway for some help confirming which disc conversion kit would fit... and did they have one. Both got answered relatively quickly and the big ol' box of parts shipped out within no time. We're in the process of the installation and it looks like we're gonna be really happy with the outcome! Special thanks to Rob Shapiro and the Speedway Truck/Tech team for the help with the identification!

Everything fit like it was supposed to, the only thing is be careful with the dust caps. Mine were really really snug. Almost didn't go it but with a punch and dead blow I finally got them installed.

Only thing that is not great is the lack of instruction in the box about modifying the calipers .

Only 2 things to do to make kit install. 1 grind back side if caliper because it hits bracket and nut see pic. 2 remove outer race on rotor because bearing sit down to far see pic. Besides that just bolt up.
